HIPs

Home Information Packs (HIPs) are now required for every property sold in the UK, whatever its size.

A seller is required by law to provide a HIP when they put their property on the market for sale. The pack includes title documents that prove the seller can sell the property, some of the searches that will need to be undertaken and an Energy Proficiency Certificate.

The seller will make the HIP available to the buyer. In some cases you will need to obtain your own searches to satisfy your lender that the property is capable of justifying the borrowing you have arranged.
